The Haywards’ of Palm Desert Antique Collection Restored
I restored this collection of beautiful antiques for a Palm Desert couple, the pieces are French and Italian and from the 17th and 18th Centuries. Mr Hayward wrote me this letter recommending my services:
“Since we moved to Palm Desert 7 years ago Mark Fry has repaired, restored and rebuilt for us a number of furniture pieces and personal possessions. These were shipped from both New York and France and considerable damage was done in transit. The extensive work performed by Mark went from rebuilding and refinishing large pieces of furniture to repairing a badly damaged 200 year old clock. All of this work was very well done and where insurance applied his charges were accepted by the insurance company. I do not hesitate to recommend him for your favorable consideration” – T. Holt Haywood
Check out the project gallery below to see the results. MQRS documents all work with photos, showing the process from start to finish. This keeps customers better informed of the progress of their orders. 17th century Italian Neo-Classical parcel table, gilt crème painted pier table with black marble top. The table had to be completely re-glued and injected with wood hardener. This piece was riddled with worm-holes and falling apart. I also restored and preserved the original finish

Antique, Armoire, Carved, Repair, Woodwork
This Armoire (Wardrobe) arrived in pieces from a lady who almost gave it up as a lost cause, the back was missing and many of the carvings and fine molded edges were broken off or damaged. Read what the client says in her letter to me after she receives her restored Armoire:
“Dear Mark,
I just wanted to drop you a quick note to tell you how thrilled we are with the restoration of our armoire. read more
