Museum Quality Restoration Services
The name that says it all

Since 1970, Mark Fry owner of Museum Quality Restoration Services has been repairing, restoring, refinishing and preserving original timeless classics and modern furniture from multiple time periods such as 13th and 14th century Gothic and all other periods up to the 20th century. Styles include: French, American, English, European, Victorian, Mid-Century Modern, contemporary, traditional, vintage to Art Deco and many more. This also includes: high-end antiques, fine antiquities, and ancient artifacts. Mark caters to a variety of clients from private collectors, antique dealers, interior designers to individual customers.

Based in the Palm Springs area, he provide services both locally and globally, with thousands of repeat and referred clients from Newport Beach, Manhattan Beach, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Paradise Valley, Maricopa County Arizona, Great Falls Montana, Greenville Delaware and all the way to Manhattan, New York.

Mark is a trusted professional who masterfully restores iconic vintage furniture from recognized Mid-Century Modern designers, such as Herman Miller, Paul Frankl, Charles and Ray Eames, and many others, back to their original state. As a repair and restoration specialist for antique furniture, he is exceptional at bringing new life, functionality, and elegance to centuries-old pieces from famous makers such as George Hepplewhite, Josef Danhauser, Thomas Chippendale, and many others. These types of well-crafted, exquisitely detailed, and quality constructed designs stand the test of time and are luxury at its best.

Attention to detail and meticulous care has earned him a well-deserved reputation as one of the most sought-after craftsmen in the field. Celebrities such as Harold Matzner, Bob Hope, and even the renowned Frank Sinatra have treasured his work.

From the time he was sixteen, Mark delighted in repairing objects through mechanical restoration. As his passion progressed, so did his fascination for restoring collectables that transcend the boundaries of time and style. The best part for him is seeing history come back to life.

Mark ran his business in Huntington Beach, where he lived for thirty-two years and had many clients from San Diego, La Jolla Beach, Newport Beach, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Bel-Air, Hermosa Beach, Laguna Beach, San Francisco, Pacific Palisades, Los Altos and Malibu, California.

When away from the workshop Mark enjoys making music with local bands, using a variety of instruments that he handcrafted himself. Music is an integral part of his life and helps to stimulate his creativity, which translates into successful fine restorations of exceptional antiques, artifact preservation, and quality wood furniture repair and refinishing projects.

At Museum Quality Restoration Services, we believe that timeless classics such as fine furniture, antiques, artifacts and antiquities are investments worth preserving. Treasures from the past are no different from other works of art in terms of rarity, fine craftsmanship, and covetousness. These irreplaceable pieces possess both character and function, but most importantly they have a nostalgic charm that cannot be replicated.

Reviving such brilliance requires a qualified craftsman, as it demands a notable degree of attention to detail. With Mark’s 53 years of experience, you can be sure your treasured collection and heirlooms are treated with the proper care they deserve.

As a dedicated artisan he also helps clients with consultations, research, and identification of objects and pieces, as well as overall conservation of items. To learn more about the Steps and Process of Furniture Restoration – click here.
